Through initiatives such as the Pastor J.C. Derrough Scholarship, the MSA Small Business Symposium, the Defenders Angel Tree, and other community-centered events, we turn service into action and purpose into lasting impact.

Pastor J.C. Derrough Scholarship Fund
Established in honor of Pastor J.C. Derrough, whose unwavering commitment and leadership have inspired generations. The Scholarship Fund is a tribute to his legacy; A legacy that will continue to impact lives for years to come.
Scholarships are awarded to outstanding graduating athletes who have demonstrated dedication, versatility, and excellence across multiple sports within our organization, throughout middle school and high school.
MSA was able to award 5 graduating Seniors in 2025 with scholarships to help assist with the next level of eduvation!

MSA SMALL BUSINESS SYMPOSIUM
In 2025, MSA Defenders proudly launched its first Small Business Symposium—an exciting community event created to spotlight new and emerging entrepreneurs. The symposium gave local business owners an opportunity to introduce their brands, showcase their products and services, connect with attendees, and build meaningful relationships within the community.
Our commitment to youth extends beyond the playing field. By supporting entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for local businesses to grow, we help build stronger families, stronger communities, and a brighter future for the next generation.
